Blurb from the back
Memories define us.
So what is you lost yours every time you went to sleep?
Your name, your identity, your past, even the people you love - all forgotten overnight.
And the only person you trust may only be telling you half the story.
Welcome to Christine's life.
My review
If the blurb isn't enough to entice you the first few pages certainly are. You are drawn into Christine's world and seeing it through her eyes, experiencing her day to day battles with something we take for granted everyday.
Imagine waking up and not knowing your husband, your house, your own body or face. This is how it is for Christine everyday until she secretly gets help from a doctor and learns how to start finding herself a little everyday only for it to be wiped out when she goes to sleep.
Christine goes through some tests and ideas with the doctor and starts using a diary to try and keep track of her days and her life everyday as she doesn't remember it.
It is a powerful, moving and great paced story. I literally did not want to put it down to find out what happened. How can it go anywhere as she never remembers anything? Doubting characters as she does one day and then loving them the next. It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a fabulously written novel. I am so surprised that this is a debut, I loved so much about it and can't give my fav bits away as it would turn this into a spoiler review which I don't want. Suffice to say it is an amazing read, I loved it. Witty, emotional, brave and so easy to read and fall into. 5/5 for me
